The 10th - “Get Up”
While the front has more change in elevation, the back nine is dominated by more subtle movement and the beauty of natural wetlands. And, don’t forget the ever present views. The 10th is a quick introduction to the character of the back nine with wetlands just in front of the tees, to the right, in front of the green, and to the right of the green. The fairway is bunker-less and relatively wide, so there is room to avoid the wetlands with your shots, but be sure to indulge in the unique plant life in them.
There is a great deal of room down the right side of the fairway, short of the wetland, and this side presents the safest tee shot. However, the best line to come into the green is down the left. The fairway narrows down from the right the further off the tee you go. The player willing to try and rip one down the left can gain a good advantage.
The green is guarded in the right by a bunker that also acts like a savior from the wetlands. There is a small bunker over the left side of the green as well for those who get a little greedy. The green is one of the more tame on the course. There is a little room to miss the green short and left and still have a good recovery chance.
