The 2nd - “Wee Bit”
This par three was one of the many holes at Grand Elk that just fit on the land with very little effort. While it may look very menacing, the green complex is very receptive to shots. The slope behind the green is mowed at collar height about 2/3rds of the way up the slope so that most shots played long will have a good chance to funnel back to the green. As a result, the green actually plays much deeper than it is. So, make sure to take enough clubs to use the slope to your benefit.
The green is relatively flat, with a small ridge separating the left and right sides. For most players, the best line is between the two bunkers in front. This is the deepest point of the collar behind the green and a ball on this line will likely result in a comfortable next shot.
